Kedleston Country House sits on the edge of the Kedleston estate in Derbyshire, about three miles from Derby city centre. It's a Georgian former coaching inn surrounded by rolling countryside, and for a photographer it's exceptional — the grounds give you golden hour light across open fields, the orangery floods with natural light through the ceremony, and the wisteria on the facade in spring is unlike anything else in Derbyshire.

Charlotte and Jacob's wedding in May 2025 was one of those days where everything felt unhurried. They started with a ceremony at St Werburgh's Church in Derby before coming to Kedleston for the reception.

My approach at Kedleston was to move between the groups during drinks, working loosely and close, then pull back for wide frames when the dancing started.
